Reviews of guests who stayed at La Calisanne near Aix-en-Provence

A wonderful place to stay

We had a wonderful time at La Calisanne. Very pleasant owners to deal with and where any questions you may have from the time of booking to and during your stay are taken care of promptly. They have thought of literally everything and there was not one thing we would have missed or wished to be different. A special note also to the absolutely fully equipped kitchen, something we have never experienced throughout our many rentals and which is appreciable for someone preferring to cook a good lunch or diner. We found everything to be perfect for the house, ammenities and surroundings! The house is located in a wonderful area, very quiet though close to the village. You won't miss any comfort here as everything has been arranged and thought of with great care. Well designed, bright and sunny interior with a lovely garden (plenty of lights at night if you wish so) and a superb pool which has an absolutely fantastic view. A great place to wind down, relax and enjoy the tranquility. If you like to visit like we do, you have plenty of charming villages nearby within a short driving distance, the sea being less than an hour away and on your visits, you can enjoy one of the restaurants on your way or take a break and visit one of the many wineyards for wine tasting and to fill up your wine cellar again. We highly recommend the house and place and will certainly retain it in our favorites for futur "Provence Verte" visits.

A wonderful experience

We (a Family with 2 Children) had a wonderful stay at Calisande in the Provence. Everything was as promised, the house itself has an outstanding view over the countryside, architecture and decoration of the house is excellent but with a very personal touch. The surrounding of the house is typical for the Provence with a nice situated swimming pool. Communication with the owner and hand-over of the maison was well organized. The house was cleaned, well maintained and all the facilities worked as described. The pictures reflect very well the house and it´s spirit. We can highly recommend this house to anybody looking for a quite and preacefull stay in the Provence - a true vaccation spot for Family with children. However car is needed.

Memorable Retreat

We recently stayed at this spectacular villa. Our party included two families with four children between us ranging in age from 9-13. The house is modern and beautiful with plenty of room for 8 people. Between the pool, ping pong, and bocce ball court the kids were endlessly entertained. The views from the property are spectacular and tranquil. Since Bras is centrally located in Provence, we were able to take some lovely day trips to Cassis, Aix and other local wonders. We found the property owners to be extremely helpful and a wonderful resource regarding the area. Still, everyone in our party agreed that our favorite times were spent at the house, relaxing by the pool, and eating long family dinners at the outdoor tables. We would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone traveling to the south of France looking for a quiet and memorable get away.

A gorgeously serene home in a quiet, well-maintained area of Provence, set among olive trees and lavender gardens. We especially appreciated the disappearing edge pool from which we enjoyed vineyard views, the many outside sitting and eating areas, as well as the lovely modern home itself with great beds, a well appointed kitchen and up to date bathrooms. Especially appreciated was the video and the booklets of information on the house that were most helpful. We visited several of the restaurants suggested in the area, spending a memorial birthday at an Alain Ducasse restaurant very close by.
